11 things on 11-11-11

1.)  I am really late to the game getting halloween pictures up, but here they are.  We trick or treated our neighborhood, then headed over to the cousins where the bigger kids got a little more trick or treating in.  I let the kids eat all the candy they wanted that night and the next day....even the next day i think. Brady hasn't asked about his candy since then, and Carson got all of his thrown away one day last week for bad behavior.  I think Dustin ate Parker and Kody's.

2.)  The kids are off school today and it's kinda rainy outside.  I think i will take them to a movie?  Do i dare attempt doing a movie with the 4 of them by myself?  We might just be that bored....we'll see how it goes.

3.)  I started guitar lessons today.  My friend and I are sharing an hour long lesson and i'm really excited.  I've been wanting to get better at guitar for years, but am not disciplined enough to just do it on my own.  Hopefully i'll get some practice time in and get good!

4.)  Most years i'm just about done christmas shopping by now...and this year i haven't even started.

5.) I have been more tired with this pregnancy than any other i think.  I don't think it's even the pregnancy, it's the idea of another baby coming, and me knowing how tired i'm GOING to be + 4 little boys running around = me laying face down in a pile of laundry 3 feet deep not knowing how it's ever going to get put away.

6.)  For breakfast one morning this week we made eggs in muffin tins (beat eggs + a little milk, pour into greased muffin tin).  Add toppings (we did cheese, ham, salsa....i think that's it).  Anyway, i thought they worked out great, and everyone got exactly what they wanted (most kids just wanted ham and cheese, while I had the works).

7.)  Food I can't get enough of right now:  Panera bread (specifically the napa almond chicken sandwich, cuban sandwich....french onion soup), panda express orange chicken, and PF Changs is on my mind too (though i haven't had any...i want some.  soon).  Mostly I think I want food I don't' have to cook.  I haven't been up to actual "cooking" for a while now.

8.)  Parker and Carson are in the kitchen right now having a pumpkin chucking contest (they watched something similar on the science channel last night).

9.)  ummm.....just got back from the movies (see #2).  I would give the whole experience a C.  It wasn't horrible.  Brady and Carson did great.  Parker was good for about an hour....Kody was good for about 20 minutes.  We were up and down the stairs about 10 times.  Made a trip to get 2 sodas and a popcorn.  Sat in the hallway for a bit playing iPhone....i only saw about 30% of the movie (Puss in Boots).  I'm proud we got through the whole thing (or at least Brady and Carson did), but definitely not worth the $$$ i paid for me to be in and out and in and out with 1/2 the crew.  I think Parker needs another year, and Kody needs at least 2 more years before going to the movies becomes a better experience.

10.) This is pretty much what the long afternoons turn into.  If you ever wonder why i look like i'm in a daze, or why i didn't do that thing i said i was going to do....this might explain it:

11.)  I am constantly amazed at the information Parker knows.  While quizzing the boys on state / country capitals on the way home I said "capital of Arkansas"....and while the older boys were thinking about it Parker yelled out "Little Rock".  I don't think I had a concept of what a state or a capital was at 4 years old.

I'm with you on the Halloween candy. Let the sugar coma happen and get it done. I read about a mom who rations the candy so it lasts until Easter. No thanks. While the candy binge is bad for the teeth, I think candy every single day for months just may be worse. I dunno. Ask Dustin.

Haha! Love Brady's milk carton... and I think Parker might be smarter than me.

Pouting Luigi is priceless!

I didn't know you were pregnant! FUN! (for those of us who get to oogle your cute kids from afar that is!)

6. We make these and call them "Momlettes". I did up a huge batch a couple weekends ago and the kids plus Hubs had a good PROTEIN breakfast for the whole next week!

I did the same thing with candy you did. It's all thrown away. The Hubs and I may or may not have instituted a 'candy tax' on the kids too.

Congratulations on #5 - VERY EXCITING!
I am TOTALLY impressed with how clean your living room is in your video - hey, your kids looked healthy and well too so that's a total A+! It made me laugh because we have a lot of caos here too!
I hope you are feeling better with pregnancy soon.
Also, DARLING halloween kids!

I love the milk carton! You did an awesome job, Kendra! I love the costumes, the crazy video (our house is pretty similar, especially between the hours of 4-7ish). Seriously, what lucky boys to have each other! And you! :)

My favorite was when I saw Brady fall in his costume at the church Halloween party. I walked over to help him up and he said "Oh, spilled milk!".
