Hiking!

The kids had the whole week off of school this week, so we've been trying to keep busy.  We saw the muppets movie, went bowling, playgrounds....and hiking!  The kids were troopers on the hike.  I'm not sure how far we went, but we hiked for several hours (even Kody hiked by himself for most of the time, he only expected me to carry him up the steepest hills).  We tried a new trail on the way back, and we didn't have a map, so we just crossed our fingers that it would lead us back to the car.  I was really glad when it did, and we didn't have to backtrack 45 minutes to get onto the main trail.  Looking for poop and pinecones was the focus of the hike (for the kids).  Keeping Kody from stepping in the poop was my main focus.

It was a beautiful day and it was fun to take the kids on one of my favorite trails (i hiked this trail a LOT growing up).
