Every year i'm excited to put up the Christmas decorations....but i think i might be even more excited to take them down. And give the house a good scrubbing while i'm at it. I'm trying really hard to pace myself and go room by room (and let the others sit messy for a while) and really clean EVERYTHING and put EVERYTHING away. It will take me all week. And I probably won't even tackle closets until after the new year....but i have one room down and it feels good. I might spend the rest of the day in my bedroom (as it's the only clean room in the house).

We are starting the declutter/ deep clean process too. I can only wish it would just take a week!
I'm always sad to take the tree down but this holiday season has been rough (husband's brother died) and I'm just glad to have it over. Besides, once the tree is out of there we'll be putting down new flooring and getting rid of the dingy carpet in the living room is something to be REALLY excited about!
