It's a girl!

So even though the word is out via Facebook, i thought i should post for blog-book posterity:  It's a girl.  I had a doctor's appointment today (my ultrasound isn't scheduled for a few more weeks).  I thought that MAYBE, if they were feeling nice, they would take a peek for me and let me know what i was having.  When they initially put me in the exam room, they put me in the nice room with the nice ultrasound and huge TV and i thought it was all going to go down.  Then, a few minutes later the nurse popped her head in and said "we need to move you to a smaller room....our next patient needs an ultrasound", so i got bumped....and there would be no "taking a quick peek".  The doctor did comment when listening to the heartbeat though.  He said "sounds like a boy heartbeat to me".

As i was leaving the office i dialed up a 3D ultrasound place in a strip mall a few towns over.  I had it in my head that i wanted to find out and I wasn't going to let some exam-room-switch stop me.  The lady at the 3D ultrasound place had 5 boys as well, and was merciful and worked me into the schedule that day.

I was in complete disbelief when she said "it's a girl".  I made her double check about 8 times.

When Carson found out he was super exceed and said "it's about time".

Parker was not thrilled. "I hate girls.  We don't need a baby girl.  Baby girls are not my favorite."

Brady was excited.  After being tucked into bed he wandered out into the family room and said "We need to figure out a name for this little girl.  Can you come back in our bedroom, carson and I have some ideas and we want to take a vote."  Carson's first suggestion was Isabelle.  Then he thought maybe we should make a list of 24 names, then a final list of 3 names...then we can wait to see what she looks like and go from there.

We are all (except for parker) super excited!

Isabelle sounds much better than my boys suggestion when they found out I was having a girl. They just knew 'Fireball' was perfect for a baby.

Yay! I am so glad you finally get your little girl, Kendra! I'm so glad you will get to experience both boys and girls. You'll see, it's going to be all frilly bows and ruffles and princesses and tea parties and painting nails and cute hair-do's.... you're in for some fun!

I can't wait to meet her! I'm going to buy her the most sickeningly pink, frilly, glittery, bow and ribbony dress, and then take it home and be-dazzle it! We have to make up for lost time. (I guess I'm living my dreams through you now.) :) It'll be awesome!
