Parker Turned 5!

Today Parker asked me if I ate a small baby.  "Oh, i thought you ate a small baby because you have a baby in your tummy."  Then he thought for a minute and said "ummm...when that baby comes out of you, could you just get away from all of us?"

Parker turned 5 last sunday.

Parker had a Mario birthday.  He said it was the best mario birthday he had ever had, so i guess it went well.  I took a few pictures of things that will remind me of 5 year old parker...

These are his "cuties".  he loves robotic cats.  he would love a real cat...but we have to convince dad first.  and since i don't have a good track record with pets (one-eyed hamster, took back to pet store....hyper dog, sent of to actual ranch), things are not looking well.  But man, parker would LOVE a cat. 

Parker also loves art, music and architecture.  This is his favorite piece of art:

It hangs over his bed.  He can tell you all about it.  He remembers it from a vacation we took when he was 2 1/2 years old.  

He also loves to look through this architecture book.  His favorites are the coliseum and the leaning tower of pizza.

This is the mario cake we made.  It was torture for the kids to not play with it, but it survived the night and made an appearance at the party.

Parker is a very sweet, kind, happy, fun little boy.  I can't say enough good things about him.    He loves to play with maps, puzzles, little "guys", instruments (he is picking up the piano very easily).  His favorite books are the elephant & piggie books by Mo Willems.  He LOVES preschool.  Loves Mario, pokemon, bowling and whatever sport is in season (soccer, baseball, etc.).  He is positive and fun to have around....i just can't believe he is 5 years old already.  Love this little guy!
